FIRST TIME HERE?
I'm Alex Ferrari and I've been working in the film industry for over 25 years. I've always considered myself an entrepreneurial filmmaker or a "Filmtrepreneur." After working and speaking with filmmakers over the years I noticed patterns to the successful ones.
Some are outliers but most had a repeatable system they used to turn their independent films into a profitable business. That's why I created Filmtrepreneur.com. I want to show filmmakers how they can turn their films in not only profitable films but actually turn their filmmaking passion into a viable business.
WHAT IS A FILMTREPRENEUR?
The Filmtrepreneur is a filmmaker who looks at their independent feature film, series or video content and thinks of it as a business that they control.
The Filmtrepreneur is always looking for product lines, revenue streams, and new ways to generate income from their filmmaking.
The Filmtrepreneur is not a slave to the legacy distribution models that are designed to take revenue from them.
The Filmtrepreneur sometime self-distributes and other times partners with traditional distribution outlets. These distribution partners are just a part of a larger ecosystem that is generating money for the filmmaker for years to come.
In other words, the Filmtrepreneur makes actual money with their film projects using a system that is repeatable.
